Countybank announces its designation as a preferred lender (PLP) by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SBA preferred lender status is awarded to a select number of banks that have demonstrated excellence in serving their markets and consistency in the processing of their loans. Earning this accolade showcases the lender’s ability to understand the policies and procedures of SBA Lending and maintaining a successful record in their program.

“We are honored to receive this acknowledgement to be classified as a best-in-class SBA lender,” said Ken Harper, executive vice president and COO at Countybank. “The Countybank team takes pride in the refinement of our practices and looks forward to streamlining the process for future entrepreneurs.”

“It is due to the dedicated support of local business from our team and unwavering trust of our customers that we have achieved this status,” said Paul Pickhardt, senior vice president and SBA Lending manager at Countybank. “I am excited to see how this distinction through the SBA will stimulate growth opportunities in small businesses across the Upstate.”

As an SBA preferred lender, Countybank will have access to offer customers a full range in SBA loan products as well as an expedited approval process. Specific benefits for customers include low-cost down payments and extended repayment periods to ensure businesses spend less time in debt and more time in operation.
