Cellular Sales, the largest independent Verizon Wireless retailer by volume, announces expansion in South Carolina with a new store in Mauldin that is expected to add new jobs within the local community over the next year.

The store, at 116 West Butler Road, opened on August 3. This is Cellular Sales’ 24th store in South Carolina, but the first store in Mauldin.

“We’re excited to expand to the Mauldin area,” said Cellular Sales Regional Director Don White. “We are currently hiring at this location and looking forward to growing along with a great, new team.”

The store currently employs 12 team members with plans to add a dozen additional new team members as the store grows over the next year.

Cellular Sales, known for its innovative approach to customer service, has grown significantly over the past 25 years. It has been named to Inc. Magazine’s 5000 list of the fastest growing companies nine times, achieving Hall of Fame status.

Cellular Sales’ recruits are trained for four to six weeks with senior sales reps before selling on their own, giving them the best possible tools for success. Team members are encouraged to view themselves as entrepreneurs with the support of an established, successful company backing them up.

In addition to generating loyal employees, the training and support is valuable from a personal and professional development aspect. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects demand for retail sales jobs to grow over the next decade and sales experience will be valuable.
