Frontier Airlines has not had a departure or arrival at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) yet, but it’s already expanding service. Starting Nov. 19, the airline will double its flights to Orlando, Fla., from twice a week to four times a week.

Frontier will operate nonstop flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

“As we allow more people to travel than ever before, we look forward to sharing with them a dependable, reliable, and friendly flying experience; that is what our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ philosophy is all about,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial for Frontier Airlines.

GSP welcomes the expanded service.

“We are thrilled that Frontier is making a new investment at GSP this early in our partnership,” said Dave Edwards, GSP’s president and CEO. “It is gratifying for airlines to see what we already know – GSP and the Upstate are great places to do business. Frontier’s expanded schedule makes it easier for travelers from across the region to enjoy all that Central Florida has to offer.”

On June 19, Frontier announced its plans to offer nonstop service from GSP to MCO, Denver (DEN), Las Vegas (LAS), and Tampa, Fla. (TPA). Flights will be operated on 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Service to Tampa begins Nov. 16 with two flights a week on Mondays and Fridays.
