The community is invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District to discuss updates to the airport’s master plan.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Conference Center, which is inside of the GSP terminal. McFarland Johnson, an airport master plan consultant, and GSP representatives will discuss draft study findings.

“This meeting is intended to be interactive and we welcome the community to offer feedback regarding future development at the airport,” said Dave Edwards, GSP’s president and CEO.

Topics for the 20-year airport planning horizon will include an overview of existing facilities, forecasts of aviation activity, facility requirements, environmental considerations, and various draft development alternatives.

The GSP Master Plan allows the airport to plan for future aviation demand and comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements. Once approved, the master plan will become the airport’s official planning document with the FAA. Public input obtained at the meeting will be considered during finalization of the master plan.
