Together SC, the state’s association of nonprofit organizations, has selected Greenville to serve as the host city for its annual SC Nonprofit Summit on March 11-13, 2019. The Nonprofit Summit welcomes more than 700 philanthropic nonprofit leaders and business partners each year to help support the growth of South Carolina’s nonprofit sector. The Summit will be held at The Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville.

Monroe Free with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County and Deborah Long with Bon Secours St. Francis Health System are serving as co-chairs for the event and will oversee the planning for the Summit program. They are supported by the Summit’s steering committee, which is comprised of nonprofit leaders from across the community.

“We are thrilled Together SC is bringing its 2019 Summit to Greenville,” said Free. “We look forward to hosting our state’s dynamic and influential nonprofit leaders and showcasing all that Greenville and the Upstate have to offer.”

The three-day Summit includes in-depth workshops, plenary sessions, site visits to local nonprofits, and nearly 50 breakout sessions focused on operations, governance, communications, advocacy, fundraising, leadership, community impact and more. Vu Le, a national nonprofit blogger and motivational speaker, will serve as the event’s keynote speaker.

"Building Bridges is the perfect theme for the upcoming Summit, as we celebrate our local icon, the Liberty Bridge, at every turn in Greenville," said Debbie Nelson who oversees knowledge network services for Together SC. “Bridges are also a great symbol for the work we do in the nonprofit sector. The 2019 Summit will showcase creative local bridge building efforts, the tools for building strong bridges, and will inspire attendees to start building the bridges of the future.”
