Dig Greenville Engineer Available For Questions

Jul 09, 2018 02:53PM ● By Kathleen Maris
From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on July 19th, Dig Greenville construction manager Steve O’Connell will be stationed in Coffee Underground to answer questions regarding the expansive Dig Greenville project.

Sippin’ with Steve is the first of many opportunities that community members will have to sit down and speak with an engineer working on this large-scale project. Black & Veatch’s O’Connell is the construction manager responsible for managing the onsite resident engineering and inspection personnel, community relations, and contractor coordination.

O’Connell will be providing informative explanations regarding Dig Greenville, the largest underground sewer tunnel project in Greenville history. This wastewater conveyance project will feature a roughly one-mile-long gravity sewer tunnel that will be approximately 100 feet below ground spanning from Westfield Street to Cleveland Park in Downtown Greenville.

“With a project of this size, we want the our community to feel like they’re in the know about the details,” O’Connell said. “This wastewater system is going to serve a large portion of the Upstate for 100 years, and we want to make sure everyone that has questions is given a space to receive answers.”
