Bedding Firm Plans Greenwood Plant

Down Home Manufacturing announced that it is establishing a new facility in Greenwood, S.C. The company’s $2.4 million investment is projected to create 50 new jobs.

The facility will fill down, down alternative, and feather pillows and comforters for retail clients in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, the facility will distribute these products as well as a range of imported finished products including blankets, sheets, and fashion bedding ensembles to retail clients in the U.S.

Located at 402 Maxwell Avenue in Greenwood, S.C., the new facility will be opening in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

“Down Home Manufacturing is excited to open our plant for business in Greenwood, and we look forward to growing with the community and adding quality jobs to the city," says Rod Ghormley, president. "This is an important strategic move for our company. This allows us to serve our customers better and improve our ability to grow our business here in the USA.
