My Place announces that South Carolina's first My Place Hotel is now open in Greenville. The opening marks My Place’s 38th open location and its 19th state debut.

Located at 11 Ketron Court, My Place is within walking distance to restaurants and retail centers. The four-story, 85-unit hotel is independently owned by M.P. Greenville, LLC., and operated by CUSA, LLC.

“We picked this location for its activity, community values, and spirit of hospitality, which were all demonstrated by the support Greenville has shown us throughout the entire process,” said owner Daniel Pretorius. “We’re thrilled to call Greenville home to South Carolina’s first My Place Hotel and look forward to introducing the community and its guests to a high quality lodging experience at the best value.”

Pretorius, along with developing partner Aaron Lawson, announced their Greenville location less than a year ago at the grand opening of their first My Place Hotel in Boise, Idaho. The Atlanta-based developers broke ground on the Greenville location on Sept. 7, 2017 with Celtic Services, Inc. at the helm of construction. While the group celebrates the opening of their second My Place Hotel, plans for their next My Place project are already underway.

“We are thrilled to continue our franchise partnership with Aaron, Daniel, and their entire M.P. Greenville family,” said Terry Kline, EVP of franchise development. “Greenville is a terrific example of their contribution to My Place’s nationwide expansion.”
