Global sports entertainment leader Topgolf announced Greenville as its next location. Topgolf will begin construction on the 55,000-square-foot venue this spring, and it is expected to open to the public in summer 2019.

Topgolf allows people of all ages and skill levels – even non-golfers – to come together for play, food and beverage, and music. Guests can play point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay. Year-round programming includes events for kids and families, social leagues, golf tournaments, and golf instruction.

The new Topgolf venue will be located at the intersection of I-85 and Pelham Road in Greenville. Topgolf plans to continue expansion in South Carolina and throughout the Southeast. 

“Throughout the years, we have received countless inquiries from South Carolina residents asking us to build a Topgolf venue,” said Topgolf Chief Development Officer Chris Callaway. “We couldn’t be more excited to offer the Greenville community a new destination for year-round indoor and outdoor entertainment that can be enjoyed by all ages.”

Topgolf Greenville will create 325 full-and part-time jobs. The three-level venue would also feature approximately 1,500 square feet of private event space and 72 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at a time.
