The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) premiered the Certified SC Grown ‘Roots of Our Food’ campaign, celebrating South Carolina’s farmers and agricultural heritage.

Commissioner Hugh Weathers and other SCDA leadership, joined by local farmers, friends and families – gathered for a Certified SC Grown meal in Cameron to preview the campaign spots on the side of the barn featured in the TV spots. 

The campaign, which launches on Nov. 1, will encourage South Carolinians to find out where their food comes from – and learn more about the farmers who grow it, and why they think it’s important to eat locally.
